Cynon Sonkkila

Cynon is highly specialised and experienced in data science, particularly harnessing technology to augment risk selection. With almost two decades of industry experience, Cynon joins Optio from AIG where he served as managing actuary, with a specific focus on technical pricing. He has amassed considerable expertise in management information (MI) and technology, having held senior roles at Marsh and also Aon where he developed key MI systems and designed innovative actuarial processes.

Before Insurance, Cynon spent several years in research physics, trying to understand the function of the human brain while working at the Florey Institute of Neuroscience and Mental Health.
