Notice

We save your acknowledgement of the message displayed at the top of each page. This means that the message will be hidden on subsequent visits to the application.

Anonymous Analytics

Every time someone visits our application, Google Analytics generates anonymous analytics cookies. These cookies can tell us whether or not you have visited the applicationbefore. Your browser will tell us if you have these cookies and, if you don’t, we generate new ones. This allows us to track how many individual users we have, and how often they visit the application. Unless you are signed in to OPTIOCONNECT, we cannot use these cookies to identify individuals. We use them to gather statistics, for example, the number of visits to a page. If you are logged in, we will also know the details you gave to us for this, such as your email address.

We use Hotjar in order to better understand our users’ needs and to optimize this service and experience, which generates anonymous analytics cookies. Hotjar is a technology service that helps us better understand our users’ experience (e.g. how much time they spend on which pages, which links they choose to click, what users do and don’t like, etc.) and this enables us to build and maintain our service with user feedback. Hotjar uses cookies and other technologies to collect data on our users’ behavior and their devices. This includes a device’s IP address (processed during your session and stored in a de-identified form), device screen size, device type (unique device identifiers), browser information, geographic location (country only), and the preferred language used to display our website. Hotjar stores this information on our behalf in a pseudonymized user profile. Hotjar is contractually forbidden to sell any of the data collected on our behalf. For further details, please see the ‘about Hotjar’ section of Hotjar’s support site.

When you sign in to OPTIOCONNECT, we generate cookies that let us know whether you are signed in or not. Our servers use these cookies to work out which account you are signed in with, and if you are allowed access to a particular page or service. If you have not selected ‘remember me on this computer until I log out’, your cookies get deleted when you either close your browser or shut down your computer. While you are signed in, we combine information from your registration cookies with analytics cookies, which we could use to identify which pages you have visited.

Preference

We automatically set your region and language preferences when you sign up with a culture cookie. This localises the site for a better experience.

How to control cookies?

All modern browsers allow you to change your cookie settings and you can usually find these settings in the ‘options’ or ‘preferences’ menu. To understand these settings, you can use the ‘Help’ option in your browser or for more details see allaboutcookies.org and aboutcookies.org.

You can delete all cookies that are already on your computer and it is usually possible to stop your browser accepting cookies, or to stop it accepting cookies from a particular website.
